kNOW SCIENCE provides valuable opportunities for scientists to utilise your skills and competencies in contributing to science advocacy and literacy. 

At kNOW SCIENCE, we feel that communication of science to the public is an essential engagement for modern society. Sharing our scientific research and the wonder for experimental discoveries with the public is not only an important outreach activity, it is intrinsically vital to science itself.

For the public to value research efforts and ensure continued support to scientific research, science must be accessible and understood by everybody! In the last two decades, people other than scientists - journalists, writers, spokespeople of all sorts - have picked up the challenge to explain science to the public, often resulting in gross generalization, mystifications, and sometimes even divulgation of inaccurate information, resulting in the general public feeling detached or even intimidated by our endeavors. For no other professions this is as true as for science! It's it time we combine our scientific pursuits with a public conscience of having, actually, wanting to share our work with the world! The public is waiting for us to come down the Ivory Tower of our academic institutions and bring the excitement and understanding of science to them... What are YOU waiting for?  

Join us! Currently, we are looking for scientists to volunteer as presenters on several areas of scientific research. We welcome people with great communication skills, that are actively engaged in scientific research.

Who are we looking for?

kNOW SCIENCE is an organization committed to excellence, reliability and accuracy. We look for people who are accountable and are capable of communicating science to a lay audience. We are looking for:

• Ability to explain complex information and recommend 
responses.
• Comfortable defending ideas and thinking on your feet.
• Ability to engage the audience.
• Willingness to personalize the template presentation with your own data and interesting facts.
• Reliability, accuracy and having proof-checked all information, scientific and beyond, included in the presentation.
• Professional demeanor and ability to interact successfully with a wide range of individuals.
• Ability to adhere to the scope and mission of the kNOW SCIENCE organization. Individuals propaganda and agendas cannot in any shape or form be part of the kNOW SCIENCE presentation.

Welcome on board! We are looking for any individual and/or organizations for collaborative projects, to promote science literacy and to promote and support our organization in a variety of way.
